yes, I shake my head in bemusement at the suckers who think Moshiri is here because he's an Everton fan like us.
But, if we can soak the rich to our advancement then an altruism has been gained...but we must be on our guard. Unfortunately, the fact Kenwright and Elstone still persist, lends me no optimism.

Everything will be the same
But, just because Moshiri and partners see an opportunity to make money for themselves through a docks development , doesn't mean it is a bad deal for Everton.

If we get a new stadium, with a sustainable funding model in a prestigious site then we are hardly suffering.

If Usmanov was interested in buying shares at us, we wouldn't be looking for investors to pay for the new ground. Usmanov uses his own trusted investors.

He may invest in the city/waterfront but I doubt he'll be buying any Everton shares anytime soon.

Yes, as I said, if we can soak the rich( in their asset pursuits ) to our advancement, we can gain (altruism). But I am impossibly skeptical as to their allowing altruism to intrude on their design. The stadium will be 100% non equity funded....and any football investment will be funded by sales.
You must understand how these people operate. Their modus operandi is soak the 99%

They are our enemy, in reality

IMO, it means the polar opposite.

Either way, rather have a few batting for us than not like.

But they are not mate, that's my point. The gullibility of people regarding the good intent of billionaires toward the former's interests always bemuses me.

They're using us as a vehicle, pure and simple

Might we benefit? yes.

Are they beneficent?.... NO

So, we must be vigilant

Everton Football Club is a means to an end for Moshiri, Usmanov, Lukaka, Barkley et al. They don't have an emotional buy in like the rest of us. Barkley less so but in the end he will do what is best for himself just like Mr. Rooney.

But we are stuck between a rock and a hard place. No investment, no trophies, club dies. Take the money, at least we can have an interesting time of it and have some hope.

We could have far worse investors..only half a mile from our home for example.

What money?... we have yet to see the colour of it

Now that I disagree with.

We need advancement both on and off the field for Moshiri's investment to grow, so speculate to accumulate is the only option. Nothing will be the same, not even remotely close to the same - nowhere near a Chelsea or City level of spending... But we no longer need to worry about money. Give it 5 years and Everton will be unrecognizable to the Current one.
