I'm sure there's someone in China with more money than sense who would buy his shares, but I'm not convinced he's fully given up his dream of owning Arsenal yet. I suspect the better we do, and the better he sees Farhad doing, he might end up changing his mind though.

He may not have mate, Russian blokes aren't known for sharing what there 'really' thinking about stuff, still believe that the split they have with going there own ways in football is purely cosmetic though and they are as tight as ever with each other.

End of the day only time will show

I think there is a clear problem there, and while I don't thin Usmanov is in a rush to sell, i think the fact he is seeing how much Moshiri is enjoying his time being the main man, and how close they are, is potentially making him reconsider.

....I think that is more accurate. The extent of his interest is the great unknown.

So long as the fingers in the pie pump money into the club he can be as silent as he wants.

Realistically, or sorry more in an ideal/dream world, he ultimately sells off his shares and takes the 50.1% and does everything he wanted to do with Arsenal. I think the fact he is so close to Moshiri and he is seeing he is obviously enjoying it might be making him think he should do it.

Who knows, just keep giving us dough lid. hahaha

Honestly, I don't think you buy naming rights for a training ground. This is an excercise to navigate round fair play essentially self sponsorship maybe?

Regarding the training ground as an asset, I think the deal is for advertisement only and not a purchase, but seeing as USM don't really need to advertise, I'd say we're enjoyably taking the mick.

I don't think he has given up on Arsenal, in fact I think Moshiri taking us over is a deliberate ploy to increase pressure on Kroenke. Imagine if Moshiri ,his close business partner, can raise us from the doldrums that would vindicate their model for running Arsenal. Even better if it can be done with Usmanov tacitly and legally adding some financial support. It would at the very least place the current Arsenal board on the back foot.

Gazprom have never sponsoured inside Britain before i dont believe mate - or shown any interest, they have done internally in Russia (and i blieve a couple of teams in europe - czech/german from memory) they are obviously big sponsors of European footy, to get involved with us would be absolutely monumental on a scale you cant imagine (think of them as the fatted calf everyone would like to have)

anyways thats running away with specualtion as nothing remotely linking them atm

Just for my understanding, how does sponsoring a training ground provide any return on investment? Everyone keeps saying it's a cheeky way of circumnavigating FFP, can someone give me the finger puppet version of how this all fits together?

That would not fit with both of them deciding they wanted out of Arsenal and to use Moshiri as a stalking horse to get his foot in the door at Everton.

Don't me me wrong through, I think this sponsorship is very good news, great news potentially.

We need to get with the times in the PL - whatever creative imagination/accounting needs to be done to get money into the club on a legitimate basis - these guys are past masters at this sort of thing - circumventing "rules" and exploiting opportunties.

I am sure that those seasoned in doing business on such a large and successful scale in Russia and the former Soviet Union simply just get things done and the FA/UEFA are not even considered small fry to these people.

It is exactly this sort of mentality that we need at Everton - as Nike say - "Just Do It" and entire galaxies away from what an Elstone-led commercial operation can deliver.
