Was trying to find this photography series for ages; remember seeing it a while back online. Very simple but a load of pics of makeshift footie nets around the UK. Was delighted to see a goal from my own hometown in there. Are there any on here you remember playing at?

There is one by me (with a massive smoking kills children sign above it) but people get angry with kids kicking footballs in the street now. I have NEVER seen it get used.

We used to always play in one near The Albany on the way to the game as kids. No idea if it's even there now. Have a feeling the building isn't even there anymore.

Made me feel quite sad, that. Good to see they're out there, but just served as a reminder that every single area me and my mates used for kick arounds as kids, teens and even our 20s have gone. Built on, bulldozed, or gated off.

Its no surprise the local kids are all looking chubbier these days. There's nowhere to play for playings sake round there.

Yeh round here most are gone and now we have a few cages and a lot of astroturf pitches (have to pay to use though).

Most of the backstreets etc. we played on are all gated off now with anti-vandal paint everywhere.

End terrace houses always had goals painted on.
Even when the owner spent a Sunday cleaning it off,Monday morning, its back.

Not see a goal painted on a wall for many a year. Do children/youths even still play footie in the streets these days? I remember me and my mates would pretty much play anywhere we could for hours and would use anything that even closely resembled a football lol

Lucky enough to live close enough to Bullens Rd, the exit gates made brilliant goals,and you could do the George Best hit the crossbar practice.
