Southampton (H)- 3
Wigan (A)- Win = 3
QPR (A)- DRAW = 1
Liverpool (H)- Loss =1
Fulham (A)- Draw = 1
Sunderland (H)- Win = 3
Reading (A)- Win = 3
Norwich (H)- Win = 3
Arsenal (H)- Loss = 1

If we can continue our present form an avoid serious injuries to key players I make it 19 pts. 29 points from 14 games and I'll be happy. Even better if we take all 3 against the ****e

9 points and that is being kind. Lets not get too far ahead of ourselves. I seen enough agains WBA, Swansea and Newcastle to suggest we are very frail at the back. Liverpool are garbage at the minute but they are always up for the Derby and we never turn up. Until we learn to capitalise when we are ahead or get defensive solidity back it is going to be a similar pattern as last season. We are only 3 points better off than this time last season.

I would love us to achieve more than 9, but 9 seems more realistic.

we've looked frail at the back with a shocking centre mid pairing that's why. regardless of that, do you think we have a more shocking defence than wigan, liverpool and sunderland? i think we'll lose to fulham because surely we won't go unbeaten through all those games and that's the toughest leading up to the arsenal match.

seriously though, even if we let in 1 against wigan and liverpool, our attacking play is better than theirs and we will score more than them on the day

why are most people on here rolling over to the ****e, we have our best side for years and are steaming all over the teams we ve played, the toon got away with being murdered because of poor decisions, other than wba we have battered everyone including united, rodgers must be ****ting himself if we batter them dem der yanks might bullet him

I hadn't realised that we've never won the league cup until I read it today. I think that Moyes will put out a strong side minus the real key men (Jagielka, Pienaar and Fellaini). It will give Coleman another opportunity at right back and Heitinga can slug it out with Distin for the right to partner Jags. I'm sure that Davey would like to rest Baines, but I don't think he has enough confidence in either Garbutt or Oviedo just yet. Naismith could do with a game in midfield and could either replace Felli or Peanuts. I think Oviedo could come in on the left side if Gueye doesn't get the nod. Would the gaffer want to risk Jelavic or our only fully fit striker (Anichebe)? Maybe Vellios will get a rare start?

Turning our attentions to the weekend's game, Southampton have conceded 9 goals in their 2 away matches so far this season. We might let in 1 or 2 ourselves but it would be a surprise if we didn't outscore them relatively comfortably. Arsenal host Chelsea, which could help us out in the league, Spurs go to Old Trafford, West Brom have a derby with Villa and City travel to Craven Cottage. Hopefully they'll all cancel each other out and we can keep pressure on the top 2.

Have you watched Everton this season.....?

I have watched Everton since I could walk and talk, don't get me wrong I would love to think we could go on a bit of a run. Odds on it happening though?

One game at a time, trust me I have fell into the same trap as you lot and got my hopes up to be dashed. Lets hope the boys ram this down me throat.

Not quite as gloomy as Svenboss, but I do think we need some perspective. We are playing well but West Brom are the best team we have played so far, and they sussed us out by overloading Fellaini, pressuring our centrebacks and generally out-muscling our midfield. Davey didn't seem to have an answer and they won comfortably.

Newcastle did the same thing in the second half and look what happened.

I know we have missed Gibson, but it is worrying if we are already so dependent on him plugging the gaps. Personally I would like to see Felli back in centre-mid and use Naismith as the support for Jelavic or Victor.

Still think most of those games are winnable and hope the players think that way too.

I will sell you my mother as a sex slave if West Brom finish over Man U this year.

I mean on current form. Man U were awful yesterday, but they have been pretty poor from the start this year. West Brom are playing well and getting the results.
