Don't think there's any 'safe' boozers around old trafford for away fans, best to have a beer in the ground.

Blues normally drink in town before the game, or a couple of stops away from the ground on the metro, but it's a 12:00 kick-off so it'll be quieter than normal. In general, Old Trafford isn't very "away fan friendly". I travel to and from the match on local transport and don't normally wear colours for this one.

I live in Manchester and Piccadilly is fine really, busy but fine. Printworks in/around Victoria is also alright for a few drinks. Don't expect there will be mass hoards of away fans around Piccadilly but known there to be a few in the Printworks.

I've found Mancs at that little train station they have after the game to be aggressive, and there are a hell of a lot of them. Stay safe!

fancied us to win at anfield, not too confident about Old Trafford....hard to know with United at the minute...

Europa league (and travel) absolutely have a negative effect on us....we basically have no preparation time for United game, while United have a full week....
