This must have been pre-planned . If it was up to Davey he'd have took them to Finport

10 day gap (probably a weeks break away) - home, match setup for wolves away.
West ham at Goodison a week later. Then a two week break before the derby away. Reckon that gap between west ham on the 15th and anfield on the evening of the 2nd April might see another holiday away for a bit, especially as there should be some returns from injury in a month from now I'd expect.
Then Arsenal at Goodison three days later.

Who's dreamed this fixture schedule up? It's all over the place. And it's newcastle away last game of the season, how is Goodison going out like this? Travesty!

If ever this squad has deserved a winter break, this is it.

Many of these guys have had the grind of a relegation dogfight on their minds for 3+ seasons. After this early run of form under Moyes they fully deserve to decompress for a bit and work on a few things to push us until the end of the season.

And perhaps this break will give the younger guys like Chermiti to show what that have to offer.

Has to be the best this team has been, mentally, in years

Recharging for our push for europe. Fair play they've earned it last few weeks. Although puzzled why they were so bad before. Just have to blame the manager really. He definitely drained the life out of the fans so probably the players too
Under the old manager we had literally zero interest in trying to score from open play

With Moyes, you can just see that the whole outlook has changed, once we win possession we're going into attack mode. These players, even if we lack obvious quality in all phases, have fed off that mindset and are kind of having fun out there.
