"undisclosed fee"

I think it might be because of all the add ons these days mate. There is no true fee anymore. Theres the transfer fee but then theres the bumf that goes with it.

This.

There will be an amount up front, further instalments (financial sense even if Citeh have got billions), appearance enhancements, England caps, league placing, trophies, etc. Undisclosed because an definitive accurate value can't be put on it.

We will spend it by trading against it - instalments off-set against what we will recieve.

they could easily say they've agree to a price of ____ up front, potentially rising to ______ based on appearances and national caps, they do that often so its no real excuse.

i think with this its most likely PR, moyes said he won't sell for less than 30 mil, so he probably made that a condition in the deal, that they don't release the fee just so he doesn't signify to other clubs that when he says 30, he really means 25.

or it could be the other way around, city might pay us a kings ransom, but are trying to give the impression that they're not overspending that much anymore so that other clubs won't expect tons of money from them either, and moyes decided to respect that. any shareholders wanna disclose that undisclosed fee (presuming theres no gag order)?

I see Bily's transfer fee looks set to be announced as 'undisclosed'...

Thoughts? - Should clubs be allowed to effectively hide transfer fees?

I don't know why they put it in the headline of the article, what's the point? It's a weird football thing.

Depends on whether we intend to spend it. I can see why it would be announced as undisclosed if we are bidding on a couple of players as their price would go up if we announced we'd just sold a player for say £6m.

Well, if all transfers were undisclosed, fans couldn't determine whether or not their clubs manager has any clue in the transfer market.

Yeah you can.

If Moyes had spent £500k on Bily it still would have proved to be a mistake.

You can judge the managers skill in the transfer market by if the Ayer is actually any good.
