Underrated Everton Players

John Hurst - should have made the England side, if you think Stones is great, then this player had it in abundance - he to fetched the ball out of defence - strove forwards to also score goals - the edge he has on Stones ATM is he was great in the air at both ends of the pitch, a former inside forward who became one of the first duo centre backs - A revelation in those days!
good shout that one of my early favorites, not bad up front for the corners ect either.

Don't know if he's been mentioned but a player I really liked who I felt was under rated was Gary Abblett. Thought he done a decent job for us, still love watching that video where he's just picked up his winners medal and shouts to one of his mates "alright Toe, I will see ya later" and puts his thumbs up.

Always came across as a top man as well.

Mark Higgins was just coming in to his prime and looked like he was gonna be our captain for years before he got injured . It's as if he's been airbrushed from our history

Miralles and James Vaughan. Ahhh loved Jimmy, still look out now for how he is doing and can't say that about any other of our ex players.

Kevin Richardson and Alan Harper.

Two lads who were never first choice in the 80s glory years but who were nonetheless absolutely vital for their versatility and dependability when called upon.
