I had hoped that with the new regime we would see a potential Everton player and buy him. Instead we are still abolute champions at seeing a player we need and bidding less than the selling club wants. A skill that I had hoped was no longer going to be the case - linked with great, and future great, players with no intention of offering enough to actually buy them.
As a side rant why spend so much on young players not good enough to compete for places in thr team. What must Adam Aznou think after Monday? A

I don’t think we’re well known for our financial frugality to be honest.

In fact the opposite.

We should be looking for value after the manure show of financial mismanagement over the last decade.

How did we buy Dewsbury-Hall ? Thierno Barry ? Aznou ? Aren't Liverpool underbidding for Isak, Newcastle underbidding for Wissa ? Spurs for Eze ?
