UEFA Euro 2020 Qualifiers Thread

4 massive games for NI, the Holland/Germany double headers, starting with Germany on Monday.

4 wins from 4 so far, but I think we need one win from somewhere, maybe even 4 points in total. So it's going to be very very tough. But sure, two great away days in October and November. Really looking forward to going to De Kuip in Rotterdam next month so I can remind everyone of our finest night in europe. Then off to frankfurt in November.

Goalkeepers: Craig MacGillivray (Portsmouth), David Marshall (Wigan), Jon McLaughlin (Sunderland)

Defenders: David Bates (Sheffield Wednesday), Liam Cooper (Leeds), Mikey Devlin (Aberdeen), Charlie Mulgrew (Wigan), Stephen O'Donnell (Kilmarnock), Andrew Robertson (Liverpool), Greg Taylor (Kilmarnock)

Midfielders: Stuart Armstrong (Southampton), Ryan Christie (Celtic), Ryan Jack (Rangers), John McGinn (Aston Villa), Callum McGregor (Celtic), Kenny McLean (Norwich), Robert Snodgrass (West Ham), Scott McTominay (Manchester United)

Forwards: James Forrest (Celtic), Ryan Fraser (Bournemouth), Oliver McBurnie (Sheffield United), Steven Naismith (Hearts), Matt Phillips (West Brom) Johnny Russell (Sporting Kansas City)

Robertson, Armstrong, McGinn, McTominay and Forrest the stand outs for me there

The squad lacks depth overall, but there's some good players in there (Forrest over the past couple of seasons has really started to impress me)
Ryan Fraser is another I'd throw in that mix but the balance isn't there.

If they're going to do it, 2020 would probably be their best chance

They are a team who I think are good enough to win something, but that doesn't guarantee that they will

It's an England side that I actually like watching though, which is probably the first time since the Sven Era
Personally I don't think we'll be ready to win stuff till 2024 or 26. Not saying that we will. But I reckon if we do it won't be till then.

Matthew Kennedy, who was with us as youth player, has declared for NI. Eligible as he was born in Belfast. Will be available for selection from next month onwards.

Anyone know how he's playing these days? He's been in the SPL as far as I know?

England have a great generation of players right now, players such as Sancho, Sterling, Mount, Maddison, who are excellent. Although I do believe Belgium, Netherlands, France, Germany all have superior teams.....so it's up to Gareth Southgate to figure out how to beat those teams or England will find it very hard to win anything.
