The longer this goes on the more pressure will be on the lad to do well should he ever get a run of ganes.

Maybe he isn’t impressing in training or he’s not getting on with the manager or a mixture of the two who knows.

His transfer fee isnt that substantial in the grand scheme of things but to us and given where we have been it is substantial and to progress you need to be smart with the money you have.

Questions need to be asked as to why he isnt getting a run of games when that money could of been spent elsewhere.

There is always an issue or excuse with us isnt there.

Or we are buying potential. If we didnt sign him, there would be plenty in 2 or 3 years when he is ripping it up for Brighton saying ‘why don’t we ever go for players like that’. It’s perfectly fine to play the long game.

We cannot afford the luxury of "buying potential" when we haven't the ability to put out a competent full XI in the here and now. Signing Dibling only made sense if he was coming in now. Anything else is self-indulgence and a dereliction of duty. You cannot buy for the future when you do not have a present.

For what it's worth, this signing above all tells me that there is a massive disconnect between the manager an the "comptent professionals". This was never a Moyes signing. Not in a million years.
