I think someone mentioned before about Moyes starting lads at his age, so for him to start him against one of the inform teams in the league, that shows enough on its own, he's probably showing his class in training but he's a quiet lad so bringing that to the pitch will probably take a bit more time. Once that on the pitch confidence kicks in, he'll quickly show the rewards of that investment.

Far from sarcastic. We fans would casually scroll through the footie pages and see and hear names of players but I wager that other than Southampton fans not many included me had heard of this kid. Knowing we have interest in him you look up the obligatory You Tube vids and see nothing to get you off your seat. Just forgetting the fee we paid for a moment, the troubling thing is that we as a club have a dire record of signing and bringing players on. Chermitti for one Moise Keane for another.
Just my opinion of course and not for one moment do I want any of them to fail.

Fair enough. Though i think when you said kid you were right. He is a kid. Some of the clips i see btw i thought he looked class going past the opposition.

Sadly I think fans demand instant results with everything today. Pretty sure all 20 teams expect Europe this season and if they don't win for 3-5 matches want a new manager. Ironically ending up with a manager who has "failed" with another team in the same league. Half time on here people were saying we were getting relegated and Moyes needs sacking. I blame social media and FIFA games.

You haven't watched enough football then to be making any comparisons of this lad to chermiti, he has more talent in his little finger than him. Chermiti is already being laughed out of ibrox and in awful rangers squad

There's going to be plenty of this in the coming years. We're going to be buying younger players with resell value instead of bankrupting ourselves, so a good bunch of them will take a little while to come good, and people will freak out every single time, and it's going to be so tedious.

All the people , season ticket holders etc say he’s the best young talent they have seen since Bale …

I refuse to believe he’s turbo gash after less than 2 games on the pitch
