Yeah I get the impression that this is pretty close to being finalised, if it isn’t already- you don’t have a player doing light jogging to avoid injury if you’re fighting tooth and nail to keep him. If they thought it was even going to drag on they’d be preparing him for their game on Saturday.

Like you say, might just be stalling for a bit to get ducks in a row for his replacement before it’s out there they have a big fee in their pocket.

Maybe also keep an eye out for a Chermiti or Armstrong loan chucked in, sort of thing where they can show off a shiny new player to the fans while actually being a win for both parties.

I think one is verbal and the other is written and regarded as an official transfer request, which negates the players rights to signing fee etc.

With KDH and possibly Dibling we will be so much more effective on the counter attack. KDH can drive forward from deep and also pass which will give NDiaye and Dibbling lots of opportunities to go 1v1 against their fullback. I think we could be really good to watch this season.

Nah I think that’s just the Everton of old pecking away. We’ll have told him he’s near enough a guaranteed starter for us. That combined with a pretty significant wage increase and playing at our shiny new ground will be a very attractive proposition for a young player.
