Homepage Article Tyler Dibling Chance vs Arsenal?

I don't think he will start unless Moyes hand is forced.

Wonder what he is / isn't showing in training and with his attitude generally. I hope he is doing all the right things off the pitch and ensuring he is as ready as he can be.

If that is the case, then he can't do much more other than be patient and wait for an opportunity to show what he can do. Cameo appearances off the bench can just add to the pressure at times.

I thought at the time it might have been prudent to loan him back to Soton for the season and negotiate a cut off the fee.

One things for sure, if he starts he needs to throw his hat into the ring and go for it all guns blazing.
No one will moan if he works his socks off and has a few shots or tries to set a goal or two up.
Go for it son.

I assume if he plays on the right he will be up against Lewis-Skelly, as good as he is he looks like he can switch off at times, might just be a good opponent for him.

I want to see him succeed because the more dribblers we have on the pitch the better. Players that can individually create goals/assists are a premium in this league and can open a game up. We do not have fullback play. That means our players up top have to pick up the creative burden. If he can work on his off ball play a bit, I can see him picking up some slack.

The crazy thing is, we'll literally have no one on the bench.

Let's say this is the starting 11 against Arsenal

Pickford
O'Brien
Keane
Tarkowski
Mykolenko
Dibling
Garner
Tim
Mcneil
Alcaraz
Barry

Bench
Travers
Patterson
Aznou
Beto

Don't think Patterson or Aznou have any minutes coming off the bench yet, so Beto would be the only one with any experience

We're going to seriously need Rohl to have recovered enough to be on the bench, along with Grealish and KDH to have had a miraculous recovery otherwise Moyes might go for a record 4 keepers on the bench

And then if Garner gets booked, it could get worse!

Definitely didn’t do enough in the summer.

If garner gets a yellow, we're in serious trouble

I'd like to see him against Burnley or Forest. I really don't see the point of watching him mark Saka or Eze for 75+ minutes.

We won't have much of the ball against Arsenal anyway, and our best chances of scoring will likely come from set pieces - things that McNeil can help with.
Mate, they’re a good Arsenal team. Not Barca c.2010. They have been heavily reliant on set piece goals all season and only just scraped a win against Wolves at home.

Just realised I've gotta take Bench off that list..

….Moyes will go with what he thinks is the best option, McNeil might even be needed centrally. Regardless of when Dibling gets his next start, I can see two scenarios;

1) He plays well, Davek blames Moyes for not selecting him earlier.
2) He plays poorly, Davek blames Moyes for not selecting him more.

I’d like to see Dibling start, Arsenal at home might just ignite his Everton career.

Not sure Arsenal, of all games, would be the one to throw him into given his lack of minutes so far. McNeil will be trusted to track back and Dibling will likely get his 10 mins off the bench when the game is lost.

But Burnley, Forest, Brentford and Wolves - I'd be disappointed if he didn't start at least 2/3 of those, if not all 4.
