Player Valuation: £150m
Worth comparing where we are now in the table to where we were in the last decade at this point:

2015/16 7th
2014/15 12th
2013/14 6th
2012/13 6th
2011/12 10th
2010/11 13th
2009/10 9th
2008/09 6th
2007/08 4th
2006/07 8th
2005/06 12th
2004/05 4th
2003/04 15th
2002/03 5th

Pretty much at the median point there, I'd say. And handily placed to kick on now with the coming fixtures to cement a comfortable top half finish.

A good cup run already and one to add to it.

Suddenly, is the real character of this season beginning to take shape?

Thoughts?

You're right mate, but what could of been with this squad and its capabilities, let's hope Martinez' can keep it together.

Still have time to make up for countless disappointing results this season, seem to have things clicking together at the right time.

Let's hope so Dave, so much better these last 3 games. Onwards and upwards

Me a week ago:

"It's simple, we need a GK change and that's us sorted"

Some on here a week ago:

"Yer mad. It's more complex than that".

...erm. it isn't. It;'s as simple as getting Howard out and a GK that gives confidence in.

I'm sure we''ll crack on now...unless Robles gets injured!!!

Should be pointed out that some fans have been hammered and labled as 'kneejerkers' for being pissed with the past 18 months yet they'll take a hammering tonight by some because Everton have won back to back games.

Seems a bit of double standards will be on show.

But I'll take it, If it means Everton are winning as that's all any of us ever wanted.

Seeing as we were 11th about 2 seconds ago, it feels disingenuous to use the league table. Might be 8th in 2 hours.

Ultimately this has been the best week of the season and if we can build on it, we could finish strongly in a Euro place. Then go into the next season with lessons learned. Fingers crossed.
Couple of very winnable fixtures up next too.

I see what you both mean lads.

I'm just pleased to see some positivity.
