In light of our ever worsening gash form, i was thinking today would we have been any stronger if we had pushed through deals for Bassong and Zaytee whom we were reported to be close to signing but subsequently signed for Newcastle and Hull. Both look like top players and have made big impacts at both their new clubs, Bassong in praticular was ace today for Newcaslte if your watching it later keep an eye out for him.

For me a case of two that we should have signed for little or nothing who could have been great for us.

I dont know mate, these two have been fantatic for their clubs, and we could have got them for next to nothing Bassong can play centre midfeild.

Watch out for him tonight he had an immense game today for the geordies.

I watch him play a few weeks ago, he was [Poor language removed]. He's been very hit and miss according to the Newcastle fans I know. There's definatly talent there but he wouldn't get into our side.

I'm sure Moyes had both on trial and let them both go. I'm not sure he rated them.

I'd be more worried about some of the midfielders we missed out on. All the midfielders we missed out on.

To be fair both players seem decent, but i cant say im bothered we aint got them, we have got much better players in the squad.

Neither of them are very good on the ball, and that's the only way they could be better than our current defenders I reckon.

Bassong has looked very good but I didn't know we were linked to him in the past.

And the previous posters were right, we needed midfielders in the worst way. Not another CB.
