TV Series

3 deep in House of Guinness.

Very Peaky Blinderesque obviously , great sets , good cast and decent storyline.
James Norton redeeming himself after his King &Conqueror effort.

Finding it annoyingly slow & still weighting for it to " get going "
I'le stick with it hoping it gets better.

I`m really enjoying it.

It`s the rarity, that I get something to watch with my missus that we both enjoy.

I didn’t think it was very good but found it weirdly watchable and did enjoy it. I know that doesn’t really make sense.

It`s got a made for TV feel about it, if that make sense, feels a bit low budget at times, with poor writing.

Jude Law is very good, Jason Bateman not so good, basically playing Marty from Ozarks, but with more hair and scruffy clothes.

Channel 4 was gold dust back in the late 80's-early 90's. The mad seasons of programming- the was one dedicated to weed, one for the sex industry, one for banned cinema.... it was tv with (literal) balls before the Internet took grip. Used to buzz off how daring it was.

Mainstream TV back in the 90s was properly alternative by today’s standards. Friday nights were brilliant, particularly on BBC Two and Channel 4.

I was a teenager back then, and I used to love The Fast Show. It wasn’t particularly ‘out there’ from what I can remember, but watching it in this day and age, it looks like it was written almost exclusively on cannabis. Fantastic stuff.

Then Saturday lunchtime on ITV - ‘Movies, Games and Videos’ - just a review show, but so much more technically informative than anything you’d get today, it treated its audience with respect.

Started the 2nd season of Platonic, easily up there with the best apple TV shows. Must be a fairly low budget compared to the rest so they don't seem to push it much

There was an article about it the other day saying it's the modern day Friends, but please don't let that put you off
