So Liverpool get more money than we did last year despite us finshing above them and will get more this year even if we finish above them again?

I am shocked, shocked and surprised.

So if the rise in overseas TV is 50% then we'd be looking at an extra £30m... we can keep Fellaini and buy Cavani!

Yes!

And it appears that some of that cash will come immediately, whilst the 'merit payments' and TV appearance money will be paid later. But we supposedly already live through borrowing against future revenues, but this would still leave extra cash as our future revenues will have increased. The 'equal share' proportion has increased from 13million to 23 million alone.

We really need to do a 'big job' on squad investment this Summer, and do our business EARLY!!!

Given all the extra money that is coming our way it is absolutely criminal that we did not invest back in January.

only problem is that EVERYBODY'S TV money is increasing. our relative purchasing power will effectively stay the same.

this is only really a benefit to the players/agent and indirectly through the league being able to attract players from the continent.

It won't.

Say we currently make £90m in a season, and Spurs make £160m

With the new TV Money, we make £120m, while they make £190m

Still a £70m difference, but the percentage revenue gap is smaller. We'll also go from making practically no profit to clearing £20m profit per year.
