I had posed this question a couple of times in the matchthread but noone really paid it mind at the time, so i figured someone might want to comment now.

as i live in the states, i watched the game on the computer. was it my imagination, or was the home support relatively quiet for most of the game. I noticed this because I heard "forever blowin' bubbles" and "west ham till i die" more than a few times, but can't remember hearing too many of our songs.

i've never observed this before, usually with our home games the voices of the announcers are almost drowned out by our songs, i even remember us seeming louder for the away carling cup match at chelsea.

once again, did i just imagine this, or was their low turnout from the home fans at the game for some reason, if anyone else noticed this could they maybe shed light on it?

Erm...Well i never realy heard their fans sing once, maybe a couple of murmurs of a song, nothing much, its just because the tv people put microphones next to both sets of fans, then balance it out...i hope  lol.

Our fans were ok, in the first half anyway, but with the referee and them scoring we just started to lose hope...and lose our voices...(n)

Yes, the dodgier of the two commentators mentioned about that.

Get to the games and make some noise!!

I didn't realise the 'Ammers fans were there until some time in the 2nd half when we belatedly heard this murmur in the corner of the Lower Bullens.

I decided to miss the Hammers game and watch it on tv cos of other committments that day. However, sounded like it was a subdued atmosphere. I will say though that often, atmospheres are a product of what we see on the pitch and given our performance on saturday, i think the average Evertonian was to nervous to stand up and make a lot of noise!
