Wonderful story and nice bit of history. As a yank, stories like these fill in the gaps allowing me to better understand what it means to be a blue. The character of the club so to speak. When viewed in the context of a new stadium this story shed new light on the term "rolling over in their graves".

I'm a history nut and simply because of this story I would favor expanding Goodison if at all possible over a new stadium.
