Transitional

Twas a very Black Christmas for me. I got in an argument with my mother about religion and waltsed out of her home 7AM Chrissy Eve. 20km into my walk home after 5 hours of walking I stopped at the bottleo grabbed 2litres of little fat lamb, mixed it with paracetamol and overdosed myself deliberately cause I had enough of everything. Spent 2 days in hospital, got released and was happy after watching the blues wickwack Burnley, then the next couple of days aussies been pumped by India in the cricket and tonight I watched that garbage.

Transitional is when I stab myself in the eye and make the transition to a one eyed man. Todays performance was that bloody bad. Sakes

Tbf, transitional or not, our results should be better. The preformance today was dire and as so often seems to be the case against these small clubs away, the rub of the green always goes this way. But the performances haven't been bad up until recently. We've just got players with no composure in this league up top which is always the difference. The one time we're clinical we batter a team 5-1. Those results will become more regular next season though.

We can still finish 7th this season, which should be minimum but we need to pull our finger out, transition or not, we've taken a good two steps backward since the start of December.

Not though are we, just lurching from season to season somehow still in the top flight, 27 years of this really for me with the odd highlight although few and far between.

I don't care what stage you're in if the manager can't set out a side that can pass the ball and control the game against Watford and Brighton you have serious problems. The squad still needs work but I'm also starting to get seriously worried that Marco doesn't have a solution here.

We drew away at Brighton last year and lost this year. Does this mean we are transitioning backwards or are Brighton transitioning forwards faster than us?

The question to ask is has a complete collapse started to begin right in front of our very eyes. We seem so average after the past fortnight with the blip at Burnley who will be relegated this year. I am hoping for 13 more points just to stay up.

As long as we keep changing managers we are going to have transitional seasons. It's a fair comment in a season like this.

Some transitional seasons will see a team clicking right away like in Martinez first season but others need patience and acceptance that it may not work out so well all season.

That said we haven't been very good overall and the 2nd half of the season will have to be a good bit better to make sure we are negotiating in the summer from a position whereby we can convince players we are pushing to move up the table.

I'll accept a position even just outside top 10 but there's got to be plenty about us for you to feel confidence we may be moving in the right direction. So far the positives are there but there's a lot of weakness too. We need a decent run in the next couple months and a couple of cup wins.

We also need a leader on the pitch.
