Ok, so we have 32 days isn't it this year? Or is it 33. Something to do with the deadline day being on the weekend.

Anyway, why bother?

We have needed a striker since Yakubu, Saha and Vaughan got injured. Even on loan, why the **** are we 24 days into the window and not a sniff of a signing.

Why are we going to leave it till the last day? Why?

Why did we wait nearly 3 months, till the last second of the last window before we signed anyone?

I used to always do my homework last minute, just preferred to do other things, but that was me and it was me who would suffer. But Everton have an army of supporters who rely on them to produce, and what do they do? They leave it to last minute.

Ah but its ok, Cahill is scoring goals so we don't need a striker. Well we all know his injury record, metatarsal injury in the next two weeks and were well and truly ****ed.

I'm more worried about this Arteta injury to be honest, if he's broke his ribs we are ****ed, we'll go back to square one. No control in the middle of the park and Pienaar (who's still not 100%) left to provide all the creativity.

Obviously we do need a striker but there's no point getting one if we can't create for him.

Moyes spoke today about having a couple of irons in the fire and waiting for clubs to get back in touch. That sounds like against the clock brinkmanship to me. Our situation is desperate.

By the way, I reckon he's waiting out Reading again and seeing whether Hunt can be gotten for a snip. Certainly he looks in no hurry to go to Wigan.

Personally I would prefer Moyes to bring in a couple of young Championship players, and at least one star loan player with a view to permanent ala Pienaar style.

He needs to bring in cover for the strikers, I think that is a dead cert. Don't think there is really anyone in the Premiership apart from Darren Bent, as he is for certain going to be leaving Spurs this window.
