Also again if we get two players and they are under 25, does this drastically bring the age of the 1st team squad

Ah, but that's down to the quality of the actual shopping not the spend.
If we don't really know who we want or can't get exactly who we want, arguably it's better not to spend for the sake of it.
I actually feel that whilst the big target of Yarmolenko won't happen now till January - depending upon Kievs' non-progression in the CL, El Bob might just have another option to exercise... fingers crossed, we'll know soon enough
