Bobby has said each window- we will come out of the window stronger than we went in. So let's look at it.......

No one good sold, especially Stones - positive
Alcaraz gone--- positive
Cleverley --- 10 million premiership player for free---positive
Gerry -- See Cleveleys comment and add 4 million cost. Bargain
Funes Mori --- Calculated gamble. If works, great. If not, going to speed up career progression of Galloway and Browning. Not a positive for this season though as he is only replacement for Distin and Alcaraz. .
Holgate - looked really good against our abortions under 21 team. Positive for medium term. Looks a really good prospect.
henen - hopefully same as Holgate
rodriguez - hopefully same as Henen
distin --- negative, forget his last 12 months, he was another super defensive purchase from Moyes
Garbutt - delighted we kept him. Positive for medium term.
Overall, it is too early to call but the situation is nowhere near as bad as you would imagine from our transfer thread.
If we get a 10 in, even on loan, I think the squad looks better. Even Lennon will keep some of the dross out with injuries.

I think the lack of a marquee signing is having a very heavy weighting on negativity

If we sign a top play maker it will have been an excellent window.

If we don't it's still been a very cost effective decent window.

I think the negativity isn't down to this individual window but the importance of getting a play maker to our season.
