IMO neville and hibbert are both decent enough, sure theres room for improvement but i'd much rather we added depth to our midfield, especially when most of our defenders are versatile enough to move around to fill in for injury.

from the looks of it he wouldn't be a bad signing though, as long as his presence doesn't push neville up to midfield again:o
 
We need Midfielders........not keepers, not defenders, not forwards. We are so short one or two injurys an its jags an neville in the middle.

I agree but with Hibbo having surgery we need another backup that has quality to push for the 1st team. The feller was supposed to be on his way to Real but it didnt happen - and for 7grand it aint breaking the bank.

The midfield situation needs sorting pronto. We've got Cahill, Pienaar, Arteta and Neville 1st team midfielders - Shandy Andy and a few youths coming through.

It aint good.
 

I don't want him, and quite simply i don't think we need him. Hibbert may be out for a few months, but Neville can play there with Dan Gosling as cover.

I was looking towards Neville playing more at right back, as he is simply woeful in centre mid.

This guy though is a Moyes type player, he can play right back, centre back and right midfield. He fits the template perfectly.
 
I think he would be a great addition to the squad. I listed him as one of the players that I was impressed with during the Euros. He was very attack minded and sound defensively.
 
£700,000 is nothing really. For that amount of money I don't mind getting a defender in. He could be an improvement on what we have and his versatility could give us different options.

Hibbert could be out for a while so we do need some backup for Neville.

Cal he is far from useless. Not much gets past him tbh. He just can't attack. Neville struggles to cross consistently.

Our left flank is sorted. You can see Moyes trying to balance the right out with someone who can defend and attack in equal measure, not one or the other.

Get him I say. Moyes apparently confirmed that we are chasing him btw.

Alot gets past him imo. He is so hesistant and his positional sense is awful.

Remember at the Derby game he let Gerrard past twice because he hesistated to much?

He is an awful player and is a passenger now. A top 5 club shouldn't have [Poor language removed] like him in their squad.
 
Hibbert is not that bad ...

But I do agree, he is rather limited.

Still, you can't say you would rather he fuk off than be in our squad.

He's a useful player to have around.
