Wiggins continues his great form this year, currently leading the Dauphine. Cadel looked very good yesterday and looks to be in form for the Tour. Andy Schleck however was blowing out of his arse on a fairly minor climb and unless he's bluffing big time looks in horrible form. If he's climbing that badly then stage wins will be the best he can expect from this years race.

Wiggins will benefit from a very strong team to help him. Froome lacks a bit of form at the moment after an illness ravaged year so far, but has real class, whilst both Porte and Rogers have won races this year and will offer fantastic support. With the parcours as it is, Wiggins will never have a better chance to win the race, although when Contador returns and the route is a bit lumpier I suspect Froome will be the man they turn to. Great for British cycling that we have a couple of guys at the sharp end of the GC though.

Wiggins has just monstered the time trial at the Dauphine. He practically caught Cadel Evans and took about 30 seconds out of Martin as well. The man is in incredible form!

Wiggo's in great form, would be amazing if he could get it all together for the Tour. Big fan of Schleck here too so hoping he gets his arse into gear too.

Schleck is looking awful at the moment. Wiggo is certainly the form rider at the moment. Also great to see the other Sky riders doing so well. EBH won yesterday, whilst Rogers and Froome both did very well in the TT today. Add Porte to the mix, who is also in great form, and Sky will have a formidable team to help Wiggins.

Unless he crashes it's hard to see past him at the moment.

Giro winner Ryder Hesjedal confirmed for the TdF as team leader with Garmin.

At a time when there's no obvious standout, he could go close.

Having read the article linked above it seems this is the key to the ban:

Am I miss-reading this? Cos to me it seems he has been banned unfairly?? Or am I missing something?

Any amount of the drug in question found is an automatic fail, the minimum requirement talked of is in regards to the testing lab's capability. I do think that Contador is innocent though as the amount found isn't enough to help his performance and as he was clear the day before and the day after the steak is the most likely answer he just couldn't prove it.
