I don't think it can be considered a 'Top Six' anymore, it is quite clearly a Top 7.

Nobody outside the top 7 has a + goal difference, and all of the Top 7 have a 20+ goal difference.

We're also 13 points above 8th.

It's a Top 7, and barring any fluke, it will be staying that way for many season to come.

Just been thinking, what happens if Man Utd win the Europa league, but don't finish in the top 4? ( I know they will be in Champions League). Or does 4thplace lose out on Champions league?

Does 8th get a European place and will 7th place have a the benefit of not having to go thorough the qualifying rounds?

We will finish 7th now, thought United would lose yesterday but them winning and us blowing the lead there has cost us finishing 6th. Arsenal have games in hand and one is Sunderland at home so can't see us finishing higher than 7th now.

I was attacked for blaming Koeman but the reality is our form was relegation level from September to December and that is what has cost us not only top 6 but top 4 as well.

6th or 7th is just a breast beating matter. They're still both nowhere.

This season is a base to work from next season: younger players (eventually) blooded; stye of play from Koeman's first few months of hoofball to a style that these players are accustomed to now accepted as the way to go by the manager (hopefully); fortress Goodison back in place; two good CMs in to takeover from Barry and McCarthy.

That is the real worth of this season, not some nowhere league position.

Yes very happy with the progress in the centre of the park personnel wise in particular

Yeah mate but we're now in April and you're still blaming Koeman ....You're just a bad WUM !
I'm not blaming him for how we are playing now....I just wished he had got a grip on the situation a bit sooner because if he had we'd be talking champions league instead of 7th

Couldn't cut us out of it quick enough.

As I posted saturday, they showed the top 6 discluding arsenal when we were 5th. Anyway, it's best not to care too much about it, if we want to show them it's a top 7 we have to constantly finish inside the top 6

I get your point, but 6th or 7th still gets us European football, that is something to be recognised at least.

We can all wish , but he was a new manager getting to know his team ......Alex Ferguson took 4 years to get it somewhat right at Man U
