I agree. The first Top Gun film insists upon itself too much.

Rent it on a night by yourself, grab a 6-pack and some fried chicken (or get a chippy take out or whatever is local), and turn it up loud and enjoy.

Top Gun is the movie equivalent of an Oasis concert: loud and fun, but not really technically proficient.

Wasn't too keen on the first Jack Reacher to be fair. Not seen the second one.

Same here. Totally miscast though. The thing about the books, which I got bored with years ago after reading about 10 of them, is that all the stories revolve around a guy with this imposing massive frame.

I actually like Night and Day. Big fan of Cruise and like Diaz too. It's good fun. Am I the only one?
