If Moyes sends them out with a rocket up their arses for the tripe we saw last night, should be an easy win. So with that.

1-1 nailed on. Rickie Lambert to score one off his arse.

I'd much rather Chelsea and United win. The more teams who are close to us the more likely we'll drop down the table in the long run. I'd be happy for United and Chelsea to tonk every single team they play for the next 6 months (except us).

Why not go the whole hog with the optimism, if utd only draw with spuds we'll be top for a week.

wishes he had checked through thread and current league table before making outlandish statements

as was said in 06/07, league position means absolutely nothing until 10 or so games have been played.

i do remember that though, coming off AJ's 6 goals in 6 games, I thought he was going to be a legend

We´re just as good as Arsenal.

A draw would do me.

Arsenal are playing some of the best football in the league at the moment, they're easily a stronger team than we are and i wouldn't be surprised to see them challenging for the title this season.

City, United and Chelsea winning as many games as possible is what we should be hoping for though, as i cannot see any of those three finishing outside the top four.

After beating the sh*te correct. Beautiful day.

We'll draw or lose against Southampton. It's written in the blue scriptures.

We had 10pts after 4 games, and we were in 3rd. (Same place but a game better off than we are now)

After that we had 3 sucessive draws (Wigan home, Newcatle away, Man City - remember Micah Richards 94th minute equaliser?) and were in 5th, with 13pts, after 7 games.

Right now we're 5 games in, with 10 pts. We next have Southampton at home, Wigan & QPR away. Difficult, yet winnable games, all of them. But we will be alot better off than we have been at any time under Moyes after 7-8 games if we could win them all.

But then this is Everton.
So we'll be lucky to get 3 draws.

win against wigan to keep the pressure on.... chelsea at white heart lane is in the next round of fixtures... could be top of the table going in to the Derby ;)
