Comments made recently by Sir Alex Ferguson got me thinking about how the season could shape up next season;

'Things definitely changed last season - it was a different league all together compared to what we'd seen before,' said Ferguson. 'The top four found it difficult and dropped points in games they wouldn't have expected to.

'That's an indication of the improvement made by other teams, and I think there'll be a bit of a dogfight for the top four places this season.

'We all have to be aware of the threats from the likes of Villa, Everton, Tottenham and Manchester City - they'll all be challenging to get into that top four.'

So c'mon, neck on the line, give your predictions for how you think things will shape up come May 2011.

I'm expecting us to have a real good crack this season. I really reckon we've got a fantastic balance of experience, hunger, desire and competitiveness throughout our side. So many players with a point to prove this year, players who for the first time in a long time, will be looking over their shoulder concerned about their place in the starting eleven.

I dont think this will be far off;

1. Man Utd
2. Chelsea
3. Man City
4. Everton
5. Tottenham
6. Arsenal
7. Liverpool

7. Liverpool

*I seriously believe that with minimal/minor injuries we could get 3rd or 4th but realistically Im going with 5th.

Well, that's the hope list. We stay injury free and squad stays the same, why the f not

Villa in 8th, about 10 points behind 7th.

Will be a lot easier to calculate after the window closes. Arsenal need defenders. Spurs need defenders. Chelsea need a CB. Man U need a CB. Lets see how the CL draw places them and with whom. The next Villa manager is important. Lets see if we keep Pienaar or if we do splash a little cash. Too many variables atm.
