Top 10 cities you've ever visited

I've spent a week in Charlotte NC. How does Raleigh compare?
Much preferred personally.

It's smaller pop-wise, but when you include the full area, like Durham, Chapel Hill, Cary, etc it's fairly large. It's got a good mix of space and city as well. And one of the best beer scenes in the states, probably the best on the east coast.

It's a 'nice' place. Nothing stunning or fantastic, and you probably wouldn't want to go there on a bender with friends, but it has enough of everything to be a bit of a Goldilocks city.

You're American right?

No cost visas to get into Peru, Ecuador or Colombia.

Chile, Bolivia, Brazil and Argentina are all a pain though to pay for a tourist visa. Have heard they're boss places though. Cusco is an absolutely amazing city in Peru, as is Arequipa. Wouldn't fuss over Lima.

Yep. Soy Americano. And all of our top picks to visit do require a visa. Ideally not that huge an issue as travel costs are lower as is the general cost of living. Still a bit surprising as the only other big trips we've had abroad were all EU - hop on a train and cross borders without a care.

I feel the same way about most big cities. Nice to visit, but everybody and everything is much too high strung and uptight for my tastes. Don't think I could ever relax if I lived in a London or New York type city, with one exception... I'd totally live in Toronto. 5th largest city in North America and it has a relaxed, pleasant, midsize city-type vibe. Boss.

Having lived there for 5 1/2 years, I can tell you that Toronto isn't a relaxed city. It's not manic as I see NY or London being, but it's still a fairly fast paced place to be. Parts of the city and outskirts have a nice, relaxed vibe, but there aren't too many, and they cost a small fortune to live in those parts.

You want relaxed? Vancouver...total West Coast lifestyle.

I don't think there's anything relaxing about having to pay rent in Vancouver :P

True, Garrick. The housing/rental prices in Vancouver are brutal. The missus would love to move there, but we'd both need a minimum pay increase of around 30% to have the same cost of living as we do now.
