Tom Huddlestone

I think he made more successful tackles than Scott Parker last season (could be wrong, could be thinking of someone else). However bringing a defensive player in will take an attacking one out. So it's a no for me (unless it's truly for cover).

Sources close to me indicate that I'd rather him than Charlie Adam, but I'd rather watch Dharmesh Sheth get ploughed by Mike Wedderburn for 12 hours straight than sign Charlie Adam. And that is not something I would like to watch, with the transfer deadline fast approaching.

I know it's a bit bold to say so based on seeing him for half an hour in the mini-derby, but Junior looks the ideal Rodwell replacement. Would rather promote him than loan Huddlestone.

That said, I do think Huddlestone is decent and would be far from gutted to see him sign, especially on loan. All my posts descend into a Darron Gibson bum-munching session at the moment, but with someone as positionally disciplined as DG4 in the side I think we can accommodate a luxury player like Huddlestone next to him.

Adam is a distant second to this fella in least mobile footballer of all time.

I reckon Weir would smoke either of the two over 50 yards giving away a 10 yard start.

so everytime we get linked with a centre mid, about 90% are going to say i'd rather ... over adam? it's pretty obvious this is how most feel so no real need to say it. overall, on a loan it wouldn't be the worst signing as backup, if moyes believes junior isn't yet ready to step up. however, we need to be looking at a backup striker as 1st priority atm, centre mid cover can be our last bit of transfer business.

moyes insiting on playing neville in that position reminds me of my old coach who couldn't drop his own son and reverted to playing him as a sweeper despite him never made a tackle in his life before.

He's a backup at Spurs. They're not loaning him out to sit on Everton's bench, which he would, because he's not as good as what we have currently.

No thanks, i think he would play over Neville in some games but i'd rather not develop another clubs player, especially a club we are competing against.

Personally, i do think another center mid would be a good addition, especially after selling Rodwell...

My personal choice would be...

Manuel Fernandes
