GOT is a football forum where folk post opinions. if we all try and be super cool dudes who agree with the decisions the club makes there wouldn’t be much in the way of discussion.

You're barking up the wrong tree there Mr. Eggs. Maybe it's you who is ignorant of this posters opinion on the majority of the clubs decisions.

I'm this case I'm pretty much ambivalent. The club (I assume Thelwell and Dyche) have decided to offer a contract extention to a player who I'd imagine is on the lower end of our wage scale. He may sign it, he may not.

I shan't lose sleep over it either way.

…..I doubt many posters who aren’t ambivalent over the Davies decision will lose sleep over it, especially because their bedsheets are wet. They just post what they think.

Again, this is a player that the majority of Everton fans do not want to see on the pitch as he offers nothing, and in most cases when he has a cameo he is often losing the ball in dangerous places. Seeing him in the bench and even coming in in the lst 10/15/20 mins of games which again most likely will always be tight will cause anxiety across the stadium.

Why is this a player we want to keep?

What are the benefits of offering him any kind of extension?

To me he is just standing in the way of any kind of potential development within and only had a negative effect when he comes onto the pitch.

So back to my question…. What exactly are you loving about this?

Or tell me are you one of the fans who are also secretly gutted we didn’t go down this season?

Not checked on reports so if that is true then hopefully will do the right thing.

But still shouldn’t hide from the fact that we should not be offering him a new contract of any length. There is simply NO reason for him to be here anymore…
