Sorry but me myself thought tough game well done lads, i never used to touch that place when we lost (too depressing) but they still depressed when we win, i may be drunk but am fukn angry, sometimes i think toffeeweb is edited by a dirty red scum, my take on todays game, great team performance bar baines (in my top 3 fav players of mo by the way) was awful today! But we won against a team that doesn't give an inch anyway and played it proper get a grip toffeeweb far from pitiful performace am now taking toffeeeweb of bookmarks at least tony marsh had substance, kendrick = arrogant i know more than you, your just a fan bla bla bla!! goodbye toffeeweb and please dont use that name

Well, it wasn't a good performance. An awkward opponent out of the way with three points in the bag and the Yak up and running is about the only way of positively describing it.

TW number one goal is to divide blues, it does this by writing "in the face" articles which go in the opposite direction of "majority verdict".

When Everton beat Man Utd 3-1 last season, Kendrick wrote an article something very negative about Moyes right before the final whistle.

It was spotted and due to number of complaints had to take it down.

Definition of a know-it-all knee jerker. And that article... rather than basking in the great performance and victory... showed exactly what his agenda is. Anti-Moyes...

even when his teams, beat Chelsea, Man City (twice) and Man Utd despite only spending about 1/6 of those other teams.

The Everton players aren't machines and this is not a computer game. So leave it out like.

I think I've said what needed to be said.

Spot on, a fan with a touch of realism. It wasn't a good performance. We allowed them far too much space, they scored a perfectly good goal and we were limited to half chances. The Yak did rescue us. No getting around it.

A year or so ago I asked TW to remove my username so I would never be tempted to log in and argue with those maniacs. Haven't regretted that decision for one second.

We had 66% of the possession -- prior to our goal it was 70%+.

I think sometimes people don't pay very close attention to the league and they see we are playing Stoke and think "well this will be easy."

Man.U and Spurs beat Stoke by one goal. Stoke beat Newcastle, Blackburn and Villa. They aren't a pushover. Chelsea are the only team to beat them by more than one goal ... they won by two. Stoke park the bus and keep games very close. Our performance against them wasn't out of the ordinary -- actually if you compare the stats we did slightly better against them than Man. U and Spurs (we had more possession, held them to less shots and corners and so forth).

Was it a great performance? Of course not. However the problem is expecting that a great performance was possible against that style -- it's very hard to play attractive football against a team trying to avoid playing football at all costs.

It's only a bad performance if you live in some kind of vacuum where you never pay any attention to other teams and how they play and how other teams play against them.

You should post a bit more mate (y)

Quality comments. And absolutely spot on.

THIS.

You're so TW.

Personally I don't like it on there but that's because I have my own views on stuff that fits in more than here, I presume every Everton forum has its own angle which in turn attracts fans of that ilk. TW posters probably wouldn't like it on here with it being camper than Butlins and all the random nonsense so fair enough.

In short: each to their own.

I don't like TW at all, just ask Kermit what he thinks of me? Banned me loads of times because I kept calling him and his sconehead mate Tony Marsh.

I actually blame TW and Garry for my sometimes negative outlook on life that tends to rear it's head from time to time.

I don't think any football forum has any balance to it at all. This is a good forum because it has a laugh on some threads, but the football points of view are not balanced at all.

A flick through the paper today showed that Arteta had more touches than anybody in the league with 110. When a playmaker gets on the ball that often it suggests to me that the likely hood is that the game was controlled by his team and the only problem was cutting through a very solid back four. I can't really comment only seeing the highlights but from what they showed we were in control for the game with a couple of opportunities falling to the Stoke strikers. Overall i'm not to fussed about how we play when we win it's how we lose that matters. The important thing is we know how to play, luckily on occasion it's very attractive other times it's like yesterday.
