heard on Talksport that the everton emblem (tower) represents detention tower that prince rupert was held in. i responded :

Hi Guys

I always believed that the tower on evertons badge was a representative of the many towers located in the area of everton that were used to store valuables during times of hardship. of note was the famous toffee that the people of the area produced and became a valuable commodity and as such were locked up in the towers from thief’s. i am not saying i am right just what i heard.
