mass depression Tuesday night.
won't finish higher than 8th
No players coming in and too many injuries
probably 7 points behind the ***** by Sunday afternoon

Then......
3 points against the Villa
Nearly all results go our way
Back to only 2 points behind the *****

Just another week of being an Evertonian isn't it :)

We've got valid reasons for that though.

Love how we've gone from nailed on to miss out on 4th place to right back in the mix in the space of 5 days.

COYB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's the beauty of football,it's never over till it's over no matter how much people think [me included] for 4th,it will be hard but no one can rule us out no matter how much they want to.

A point is at WBA is never a bad result considering they have beaten Utd and drawn with Everton, Arsenal, Chelsea but still should have killed the game today. Absolute shocker from Toure there

I'd be panicking a bit if I were a Liverpool fan now. They just cant get themselves clear of the rivals for that fourth spot and they've had a fair wind behind them since Suarez came back and gave them all those goals. They're fortunate Moyes is such a failure that United are being held back for now, but I can see them going a spell picking up half the points on offer and us or Spurs are going to have a real purple patch and leave them with a lot to do.

They simply are not an elite squad of players. They were very lucky to face an Everton team severely weakened by players who really should have been in the treatment room and not on the pitch.

BTW, if Martinez was their manager, I would be VERY worried about their prospects with that decent level of player + wc striker and a load of money to spend. Rodgers v Martinez isn't even worth debating...the little Catalan magician is twice the manager that fraud is.

I think we all know the answer to that.

just wondering how sad his life is that he feels the need to do this constantly. i don't get wound up by him, just miffed, it's pretty sad if your life is resorted to that.

Four-time First Division title winner Jimmy Case: "Liverpool's whole performance was not fantastic, and they will have been looking to get the three points from today. They scored four goals against Everton but they would have taken a 1-0 this afternoon.

"Today, having got their noses in front, Liverpool gave West Brom two points. Then the game opened up dramatically, because the Baggies had a sniff while Liverpool fought back. All-in-all, this is a big, big blow for Liverpool because at this stage of the season it's more important than ever to grab three points, however you do it."

can we have two points for all our draws as well please? we'd be miles away by now. didn't watch the game but guessing it was a pretty dour affair looking at the updates. seemed pretty similar to our game there, we score with virtually our only chance and then WBA get a second half equaliser using a little bit of pressure - then the game peters out to a draw.

We've got valid reasons for that though.

We certainly have but it just shows you how much emotion ebbs and flows and from feeling demoralised between Tuesday night right through to the 73rd minute yesterday, all of a sudden we will have a little spring in there step and that lot will be on right downer after that drab performance. We need to get players back pronto and put in a mammoth shift against Spurs on Sunday and hope the Arse get something at the pit
