Today’s Football - 2024/25 Season

I simply could not justify spending that on a footie match on my wage.
when you include travelling and any food and drink, we're talking a ton.
Another example of football eating itself.

It’s ridiculous mate, scandalous. It’s taking the game away from the real supporter.

For a club that was a penalty shootout away from staying in league 2 at the turn of the century, it’s sick tbh, and is a real kick in the teeth for the fans who were still going in huge numbers when they were down the leagues.

Really sad that the premier league Allow such high ticket prices from all clubs, but you can’t expect anything less from such a sell out organisation.

At 71 pounds per ticket, Man City need 15,000 fans through the doors simply to pay a week's wages for Haaland and De Bruyne. Even thinking about this numbers makes me feel sick. Football was ruined decades ago, but it's absolutely grotesque nowadays. No wonder they fake all of their sponsorship deals to enable constant lavish spending on transfer fees and salaries.

It's all so unnecessary as well. The players could be paid a small fortune and tickets could be £20 each given the massive TV deal. The market for these stupid salaries is basically Real Madrid, Barcelona, PSG, Bayern and then the Premier League.

Can't find an arsenal thread, so this'll have to do.

this arsenal side have done nothing all season except lick donkey balls, it's embarrassing, to the point of being offensive. It's a shame the league can't hold a vote and either relegate them or send them up to the scottish sham league.

moaning, crying, diving, no bottle, fan entitled, knob-end fc tv spectacle, epitome of nothing.

All this from an Everton supporter. How the gunners have sullied themselves with their fall from grace. Crud!

Need taking out back like 'old yeller' and dealing with. Shambles!
Wow. What a strange take.

Arteta has taken them from upper mid-table nothingness to the closest semblance to title challengers we've had the last couple of seasons, and before the "spending money" caveat comes out, I invite you to look at the result of similar spending at United, Chelsea and even this season's City.

Would you be half as arsed if it were City they were throwing away the title to? Almost certainly not, in which case you've taken a few words too many to say "I'm a grown man, throwing a wobbler because our neighbours are winning the league."

to further nothingness.

pretenders, with no belief and no bottle. When the universe needed someone to stand up to the wickedness of evil, they weren't found wanting, they simply weren't found at all.

this shower need deleting.

They're in the semis of the CL and will qualify again through the league even if they don't win it?

I'd kill for that level of nothingness at our club.

So when those gimps win the worst premiership ever what criminal acts will they do/ wasn't us

Liver Building in Fire again
Bramley Moore damage
Goodison spray painted
Tower trashed

Love the City but utterly ridiculous what they'll get away with

If you’re second, you’re last. They are a failure.

i honestly dunno how people are affording this.

I honestly dunno how people are affording this.
A huge element will be the corporate world, they can't all afford a box, but they can and do buy corporate 'bands' around the stadium. A metals company I know has a rep that takes clients to old trafford for 'business' purposes, it's entertainment and a meal out all covered on the company plastic. It's a sweetener. The company claim the tax back as a work expense, and certain points around the year when business backs off for the holidays (Christmas) the company lets the staff use the seats they've bought that'd otherwise go begging. This is the world Everton are trying to break into, with excellent facilities and the ability to feed and water whoever, a day at the football becomes something more than just a bit of fun for your average punter. With a winning product and association to success and the glitz of the media then it creates interest and demand. This in turn pushes prices, because if you can't afford it, we'll find some other bum that'll cough up.

What I have noticed recently, is a ticket share scheme, because tickets are so expensive at northwest venues, there's a few lads that are splitting a season ticket, sometimes into three or four ways. They each get 5 or 6 games, and divvy up the fixtures. It means they have choice for cup options as well, not everyone can go to absolutely every game, but ticket credits towards the end of the season can mean access to final tickets, and who's not in the run for them.

Football is a business, more seats, more tickets, more fixtures, more pints, more pies, more shirts, more events outside of the football. Its money.

Oh this will happen when they have their parade around the city and all the sewer rats come out to play.

I'm going to Cardiff Saturday and as it's the last match of season their Adult tickets are £21 and Seniors £11 compared to the £37 and £31 for similar at Coventry last week, should be set sum of each division
