Today’s Football 2020/21 Season

Think now we’ve had the Community Shield it’s officially the start of the 2020/21 season so a fresh thread is required.

Didn’t see the game, don’t watch them, glad they didn’t win though.

Lots of European footie in the midst of kicking off whilst France is definitely back and Russian teams seem to play every 3 days.

We also saw our first glimpse of Ziyech x Werner combo vs Brighton in what was the first test of fans back in stadiums ahead of the proposed October date.

Bit random but just seen Guardiola is in Barcelona at the minute and then needs to quarantine for 2 weeks when he's home, first game of the season is a week after that. Surely that's a bit of a reckless decision as a manager? Missing 2 weeks of his team's pre-season?

I think even if he gets a negative test he's still got to quarantine. It can take a while for covid to show symptoms. The elite players are exempt but as far as I know he won't be?

City don't play the first week because of CL. They are due to play Wolves away in 3 weeks so he'll probably have have a week with the squad?
