Everton’s worst run of form in a long time has shocked football fans all over the nation. After Roberto Martinez shattered club records last season, leading the Toffee’s to their highest ever points total and a ticket into the Europa League, this term performances have been poor. The blue half of Liverpool sit twelfth in the table, twelve points behind fifth which was their target at the opening of the season.

It's very simple they look dog tired. Conditioning is in question and I don't question any players passion. We are going nowhere fast playing side to side and backwards(which I hate especially against less talented teams). How many stupid goals have we witnessed this year playing either a short or shoddy back pass to put pressure on our out of position back line. We never really take the game to anyone. We act like a sponge and absorb pressure and absolutely bore the opponents to death it worked last year but has been sussed out this one. Barkley, Baines and Coleman can be our catalysts but I fear Coleman has lost pace perhaps due to niggling injuries. The speed merchant hasn't looked the same since his last lay off.
Lets face it Lukaku has become human and his first touch has been damning for us. The defense is losing its shine this aging back line has to be addressed next year or we won't like the our position in the table. Sorry for the apathy but no quick fixes seem to be on the table for the near term. Squad rotation is a must for us for the future fighting on multiple fronts. We have great talent but sadly a tired one.
