I'm not so sure.
One massive indicator was why did Usmanov over pay share value to Moshiri for shares that were basically his anyway? How do you get into another club while owning part of arsenal? Use someone not directly related... Certain circles suggest Usmanov is the man behind it all.

But then again that's against the ownership rules, so he definitely can't be! ;)

well if Usmanov IS behind all this, it is very very very worrying.

usmanov : hey mosh, get on the blower and give big jim the lowdown and tell him my pick of koeman has my full backing , cos I don't want to look like a right tw@ now do I... oh and get bill to order me a domino's on his just eat account, I want the kebab meat special topping with a jammy dodger in the middle of it , as normal'

moshiri : your wish is my commannnnnnnnnd sir, as you please

The whole thing seems totally bizarre to me.

All the talk from Moshiri 12months ago was about bidding for 60mil koulibaly...

I was expecting a centre back, left back and a forward to be signed for big money at the end of the window.

That would be a statement, I don't agree Klaassen, Bolasie, Williams, Cuco and Sigurdsson for 100mil+ is progress. its stupidity.

I'm not amazed at the stupid statements as ive seen very rich people say incredibly stupid things and want to do stupid press releases.

What I am gobsmacked about is that no one seems to be telling him that the signings are daft and his comments are weird.

Who Is advising this guy???

Usmanov apparently. He is the boss afterall.

Guys, you forget. Were Everton, not everyone wants to play for us! It's gonna take time to build.

It's only a theory but these guys who have so much money probably think every thought in their head is the right thing to say or do and those round about them are frightened to say anything contradictory for fear of the sack, worst case comparable is Trump an absolute lunatic surrounded by yes men and we've seen a few examples of smart guys in high office being sacked because they don't agree with him.

I find it extraordinary how he is also using Jim White as a media outlet, that should have been reigned in by now it's embarrassing and it's now like we are all walking down a dark tunnel for the rest of the season wondering how it's all going to end up, sadly I would not be surprised at anything.

in true Everton fashion.

Moshiri doesn't know anything about football. He hires staff who are supposed to know about football, and when it goes wrong they give him reasons. his statement is just a repetition of these reasons. However like any CEO there comes a point when the excuses run out and then you sack the guys who are supposed to know about football and replace them.

Wonder if they intend to hold a General Meeting in the New Year?

Or revert to traditional defensiveness when under pressure?

A lot may have changed in that time of course but a question regarding a communications director or lack thereof would be a very legitimate one for the agenda.

They will have advisors though....whats Ryantsev meant to be doing?

We could have easily signed Maguire or Mawson or similar to add some steel at centre back who we could have sold next summer if they weren't good enough...there were a lot of options and yet we signed no one...

Don't forget that trump was a trust fund kid who if he had simply invested his inheritance into the S&P would have made several times more money than he is worth now.

Moshiri is 'kind of' self made and impressed others so much that he was included in the business as a shareholder. This tells me that he has the nous to move himself up the ladder.

However, it appears that Moshiri is an expert in his chosen specialist field but out of his comfort zone here...hence the need for advisors.

He needs a mini-Moshiri type with football as his speciality to come in and run the club...

It's, IMHO down to poor formations and fitness, not to mention the frequency of games. Lack of preparation is on ole Ronnie.

Flair comes from confidence and enjoyment, confidence and pride comes from doing a good job, doing a good job comes from getting the small stuff right. It's back to basics for EFC, a bit of Ball's attitude wouldn't go amiss either.

Where do I apply?

As for Farhad, I wouldn't pay to close attention to the nuances in his words. A fan's perspective and a board members will be pointed in slightly different directions. He might have his gaze settled a few seasons away, once other elements of his business plan have come into play. That's my guess anyway.
