Stupid question I want us to win every game in every comp, but we have won 4 league games this season only the Villa and Burnley games were convincing and there have been some woeful draws and even worse defeats. I want CL because that is the only way to build a squad it comes with the ability to attract better players and the finance the EL does not its more games, for less money and even less prestige, but I would fookin love to win, if we did I can already guarantee it would be one of the best nights of my life and where ever we finish in the league it will be worth it.
 
I find the attitude of some of our fans regarding this comp a bit baffling. If we can get through the next round or two we'll have a massive 2 legged tie against quality opposition probably from italy spain or holland.we often talk about goodison under the lights being electric but thats when we'll truly experience it.also possible games against celtic liverpool or spurs would be huge and long remembered. Yet some people want to play our reserves to finish 6th and err qualify for it again ???

6th is nothing to shout about I know but we've got to be realistic. We're not getting 4th now after such a poor start and we don't have the squad anyway. The best we can hope for is replicate what we did last year and hopefully win a cup along the way. My point is I'd be willing to accept not reaching the highs of last year if it meant we won something.

I hope we do well in it but there is no point beating Wolfburg than having two poor Premier League games to follow it up, i would happily trade coming bottom of the group for 6 more points in the league right now. If we didn't have Europe league we could finish 6th this season and that would get into the Europa league maybe next year.......... we are not top 4 material...... Distan..... howard...... Osman. .... Do u think any of these players will every play champs league? Forget bout last year. Other teams slipped and we didn't take our chance. Europa league gives us something new and a chance for some players to get European experience until hopefully we can replace some pissed poor players with top 4 material.

I agree about the league and I hate being crap in the league, but going wolfsburg away, even wolfsburg, lille at home, they were boss, and don't come around too often. Just enjoy it, n don't wish it away coz it could be a long time before we're back in it mate

u not think our performances are down to more than the ELthough? We have become far to predictable. Any team that attacks us our defence crumbles. Stupid mistakes all the time and too much time on the ball.
