Just watched whats happening in Queensland...

Hope all our Aussie mates are all ok like. Knowing the links between Everton FC and Australia are quite evident.

Have experienced quite a lot of flooding here in the UK over the past 7 years so know it's absolutely [Poor language removed] and devastaing.

So as I say... hope it's not as bad as it looks over there. :mellow:

A few burst pipes and a river burst in the Home Counties is not exactly the same thing as an area the size of France and Germany combined underwater. I Know you meant well like.

OK , Its New Year ,..I'm in the Party Mood ... However , I am going to SAY and MEAN the following words ...

Aussies are MY PEOPLE . I LOVE their fukn Over-My-Dead-Body attitude to life in general .
As Sportsmen/women THEY ARE AWESOME - current Ashes performance , aside .

Moreover , McBrother-Man is MY McBROTHER-MAN ,Timmy is my #1 Evertonian since the Bin Man , Warner is a FUKN LEG' and dead ordinary and approachable an'' sorted me out TWICE , before I was even L.C.A.B. Red-Card Bunds is ME BOY , 'Mozzie is ME BABE , Gringo is the ( worringly absent ) Shrimp , Biggy even changed his MJ Avatar 'cause ...( Well , 'cause HES [Poor language removed] , but Im on a roll here so ,...)

There's LOADS of others , too .

So , given the Urn is back in N.W. 8 , and the World Cup soon will be , we'll all be able to play nice again , until 2013 .

( Or the Rugby . Whichever comes first . )

Tell that to the people of Hull. York. Yorkshire. Carlisle. Cumbria. Cornwall. Gloucestershire and the list goes on who've had severe flooding over the last decade.

* Edit Liverpool and Wirral had it this summer you blert!

I've been in 3 on that list when it's happened. Seen it first hand. And it wasn't just a few burst pipes. Sometimes Davek I give up with you really.

Hence the empathy to our Aussie brethren.

Actually live on the coast, 30 minutes from Rockhampton where it is severe (though further west like Emerald are almost completely underwater). Most major roads into and out of Central Queensland are cut and the Rocky airport is inoperable. So yeah its not too flash.
 
Haven't heard from Bunds for a while have we, it's just up river from Bundaberg where the worst flooding is too, hopefully things are alright with him!
 
Cyclone Season always brings something interesting up North. Got a guy that should have came to work on friday but couldn't. He's probably on the roof of his house knocking back beers and popping in for the occasional swim knowing him.

Best wishes to all those Aussies affected by the floods. Great place is Ozland, been there 5 times looking to go again this year. Have relatives and my great great grandad was born there.
