The western grabbers have been desecrating archaeological sites for aeons. Look at the rape of Egypt and its treasures, the Elgin marbles, all taken from their rightful place.

Now, someone is thinking, but dey didn't smash irrall up lid did dee? but, dee did.....only things that had a market value were moved, breaking apart monuments to do so. Papyri were used to provide light for digs, roughshod excavations buried more than they uncovered and the pillage of cultural artefacts went across the middle east, it was almost as if the west was trying to eradicate part of history.....erm

The whole world has a history to tell but no one is interested unless it is saleable, mainly

I'd rather they dug them out and sold them rather than fully destroy them.....

Not what I was getting at, taking some 'treasure' from where it belonged devalues the treasure and the place culturally. All that remains is an act of vulgarity, no appreciative purpose involved. ISIS believe they are acting 'culturally' with god on their side, the western interests were acting from greed and avarice. Neither is correct of course, but them being on display or in a private collection doesn't qualify anyone for dispensation for ruining the original site, imho, Of course

there is no real agenda, they are just killing for the sake of killing. they are taking over towns and nothing is apposing them which the more it grows, the fear by itself will allow them to grow to a massive scale.

and the worst thing is that we do nothing. they are pulling different nationalists in to behead/murder/burn for propaganda because they want a reaction. English/french/american/canadian/jordanian/japanese to name a few and none of these nations are doing anyhting apart from sitting on their arse. They know they can get away with what they are doing and therefore growing as a feared group.

We need to go to war, we need to end this before it cant be stopped.

Well the Elgin Marbles was hardly 1997 was it.

Western pillaging nowadays revolves around oil and economics, not random destruction for ideological sake. Justifying what ISIS is doing with "oh well, we did it too, hundreds of years ago" is daft.

Where exactly have I justified it? Pretending the pillage of artefacts from Mesopatamia doesn't happen these days, by invading western fofces is erm, daft, with a capital daft.
