2024/25 Tim Iroegbunam

It's odd, when he first came in and we were playing Dycheball, he actually stood out as one of the better players who was prepared to carry the ball forward. I think then we were all surprised as he was a swap for Dobbin (was it?) and so expectations weren't great. I can only imagine it's currently a confidence thing, after a pretty bad injury that kept him out for several weeks.

He's 22 now so it's a make or break season for him here. I think DM will persevere, for now...

His role seems to have changed. Garner seemed to be much deeper than Gana and Tim last night. Perhaps for more energy in the final third but not convinced he has the footballing brain for that role.

Like Patto looks to be missing confidence entirely. Tim has a really quick burst of pace which kind of makes him awkward to play against. If he can get back to what he showed under Dyche and maybe add a bit of positional understanding, I think he can be good. Definitely think we should be giving him more of a go on the attacking end though and see if he can carve out something there (and get his confidence back). Curious how Moyes sees him atm.
