Depite Onana being our 'superstar' and every week his stats appear to shadow that of a Yaya Toure. I don't actully ever remember him controlling a single game we've played..including vs Doncaster away.

For that reason alone, I have such high hopes for Timmy.

Why would it be even a consideration for him to "control a game" ?

Almost a prerequisite for a midfielder player of his status to grab hold of a game, pass a ball , pass a ball again, keep possession a little. Yet, all I see him do is get 2 or 3 blocks a game and a trademark tackle.

It's not good enough for a number 8. Especially when you look around and Gueye and Garner do the same without the price tag.

First of all he's an anchor midfielder. Secondly the other two are totally different types of player.

They are also getting rid of Douglas Luiz so a bit concerned they feel they don't need this kid also.

Can’t wait to see him go so you can migrate to gooners forum and bore them to death with your anchor logic.

It sounds like you dont know how european footballers are primarily trained up in one position. They focus on the attributes required for that position.

Both Lampard and Dyche have supported this and explained precisely why hes been used in both an unfamiliar position and unfamiliar roles.

Now, I'm not saying im a "top fan" but their comments were freely available for anyone to read.

As for your comment, it's about as intelligent as not understanding by now what type of player he is. Especially when Belgium are on the box and its quite clear.

So, two managers and his international games confirm what im saying.

If that bores you then perhaps stop complaining and try and learn something about development, positions and roles?
