Maybe he's in Denver for the Broncos/Pats game tonight?
Nah mate, the Costa goal last week was a prime example of his hesitancy and poor decision making.
The situation needed to be dealt with and he didn't, simple as. Citing that our RB was caught up field from a 50 yard punt over the top is merely deflecting from that simple reality.
If you think he not the weak link then you have every right to defend him its a forum on opinions, I looked at Robles in goal v City who came at us hard in the first 15 minutes, We won 2-1 would we have won that game with Tim in goal ? Robles made one stunning save in that game with his hands! - The away game Tim played good, but we never moved the ball form distribution by him as quickly as when Robles plays - his roll outs to Stones when city strikers were breathing down his neck made me cringe TBH!....I just hope he doesn't make an almighty clanger, he's becoming a really emotive area of discussion. I'm defending him to a certain extent and getting lots of responses.
Last week wasn't down to poor game management imo. The Howard / jags mistake gave them a lifeline at a point when they looked well beaten......it's a moot point whether him or Jagielka was at fault but the root problem is in us not being able to effectively manage games. It's not only this season. We will improve with superior personnel but will only truly be a top side when we become better organised.
So its the Manager then is that what you are saying / In my day watching the blues the great harry catterick would have dropped two players after that game today - Jags , and Tim as that first goal was the turning point imo of Chelsea getting a foothold in that game-
Gordon West England international keeper often got dropped as did Labone our Captain for George Heslop - beggars the question is RM too nice?
Urm yes agree , but a dodgy keeper is a major problem!....as you know, the best managers have that ruthless streak, Joey. I think RM has assembled a fine group of players but I also think he's either tactically naive or stubborn in not managing the shape of the team during matches. Sure, Howard needs replacing but he's not the cause of all our problems.

I may also point out no Doug to support you!lol....I just hope he doesn't make an almighty clanger, he's becoming a really emotive area of discussion. I'm defending him to a certain extent and getting lots of responses.

It's something we've been guilty of though, so I take your point.

It was an aimless punt, nothing to do with our rb position.....we were 2-0 up and our RB was the furthest player up the pitch when Fabrigas launched the pass. Even on the park on a Sunday, you pull your full backs back and don't take risks. Chelsea were going to come at us and we had perfect players to defend and hit them on the break. Instead, Stones gets pulled into RB space and we have no cover for a long ball. Basic at any level.
