The defence were poor yesterday, but so was Timmy Starjumps. That's the difference, when other teams players have a bit of a lapse their keeper does his job and saves them.

He was never saving either of them pens and was nowhere near their 3rd. They pretty much had 3 decent shots and scored them all.

Same with Bournemouth, Norwich, Palace. The lad is absolutely terrible, anyone defending him is on a wind up.

I think yesterday it was plain to see what we have been missing........a keeper that dominates his own 6 yd box like the Leicester keeper did.

The first penalty he was inches away from getting his hand to it, and then the second one he chooses the same way but Mahez out foxes him and changes sides. It happens often that sort of thing.

The third is a very good finish into the corner of the net after an awful mix up in front of him, and of course your ignoring the good save he pulled off with his feet at the end when again we messed up in defence and the attacker had a free shot that he stopped.

Yeah I was there, he guessed the right way and still didn't save it. He actually guessed he would put it to the bottom right of him and did not save the ball, that's how poor he is. The 2nd one he made his mind up for him by diving too early.

The save was with his feet. The fact he's made more saves with his feet in the last 4 games than he has with his hands proves how poor his postioning is.

Incorrect. I'm unhappy that Howard's faced hundreds of one on ones in his time and he still hasn't learnt how to deal with them.

I'm confused as to why you create false quotes to support your Howard agenda

Haha what a load of nonsense. He went the right way and was inches from the ball, it was a well placed shot into the corners of the goal. You do realise that the advantage is with the attacker in a penalty situation don't you?

The last comment about using his feet is laughable.

There's no agenda or false quoting. You want Howard to be like De Gea.

Well there's very few goalkeepers like De Gea and the few who are cost huge money and want CL football and won't be coming to Everton. Therefore you'll always be disappointed and have a moan about our goalkeeper.

I tell you what Doug on Penalties in general they must stop the pen taker stopping his run in his run up its not fair on Tim - How did Robles cope V Norwich in the pen shootout? lol
Joking apart it should be a clear run up no stalling to help Tim at his age!lol

I've always thought he was just a good shot stopper, but he doesn't even seem as good at that anymore.

Time to move him on I think (at the end of the season) and look to the future. I'd love Forster from Southampton. Just coming back from injury, but was brilliant for them before that. They don't sell cheap though, do they?

Tbf they had five shots on target like us two were pens , but if you look how their keeper coped dominating his area to ours its chalk , and cheese!

Tbh, it's not really about yesterday, he's been doing my head in for a while now.

However, I'm not one for bashing our players, especially one who has been here so long, as I don't believe they cock up on purpose, and keepers mistakes are always magnified too.

With that in mind, I'll just reiterate that I think we should get rid in the summer, and leave this thread alone.

He needs to be gone in january our goalkeeping situation is in dire need of sorting
