I think my main gripe is a beleif that Howard cannot or will not be dropped by Martinez. I wonder if it's anything to do with Roberto being a relatively young manager and more focused on attack than defence? It's strange. To any logical outsider Howard should have been dropped by now - at some point either last season or this season. Surely even the most boss eyed Timbo supporters would agree with that? @Dithering Dougie @Moomin @Prevenger17

OK to avoid an inane circular argument I will phrase the question differently for you:

Do you think Howard has been poor enough either this season or last to warrant being dropped? If so why do you think he hasn't been?

Rightly or wrongly Martinez sees them both day in and day out at training and has decided to keep tim. Maybe he just doesn't think robles can handle being an every game stater or would just rather have tims experience. Whatever it is I think martinez will look for a new keeper in the summer

Got to ask martinez that. The truth of the matter is none of us know what he's thinking so it basically comes down to if you trust martinez or not. He's bought robles twice and been his manager for years so perhaps martinez just doesn't think hes ready yet. We may never know.

Unfortunately, he is the best of a bad bunch. I don't rate Robles and neither have the managers of all the clubs he has been at, and the last few years that has been Martinez. I think they know him better than all us.

Your right untill Robles gets a run in the team the juries out, but even Doug states times last year Tim needed a rest!
His form this season is patchy to say the least!

Southall was the only keeper good enough for us.

West, Rankin, Wood, Martyn are the best i have seen with confidence!
