No, we have not but many have pointed out how TH could have done better with regard to goals scored against us, so calm down Doug and go and have a Xmas drink.

I'm quite calm TL thanks, just pointing out the inequality of singling out one individual and blaming the result on them when it's a team sport.

Guess you need a scapegoat though.

It's not about a scapegoat though. Howard is just not very good any more. He's been average for a while and now he's tipped below that bar. A large majority of the fans think that. We watch the game and can see his flaws. Are you saying we are all deluded?

Do you honestly think he's actually been good this season?

The stats that people were clinging so desperately onto last season to call him "the worst keeper in the league" now show him to be one of the best Charles, I think he's been okay myself so far this season.

I also realise he's our best goalkeeper and so this dictates he plays when fit.

According to Squawka, Howard is the 5th best keeper in the Premiership, and the suggestion of some people on here of Kasper Schemical is bottom at 32ND.

Think this proves the point the other week when he said some fans don't know enough about goalkeeping to say he has made mistakes.

Think some of you need to apologise to Tim for your ridiculous comments and stick to playing FIFA.

You can prove or disprove anything with statistics. Lies, damn lies and statistics etc. But they can't tell you some things at all.

How can Tim Howard and Joel Robles be accurately compared to eachother when, proportionally, Howard plays far more games so will, by definiton, make more saves and mistakes than Robles even has the chance to? Do the defence have confidence in him?

When Robles kept 3 consecutive clean sheets last season, how did that spell compare to Tim Howard's performances?

What I'm saying is, sometimes stats don't always tell a full story. I don't play computer games, by the way, just in case anyone accuses me of living in Fantasy Manager or whatever kids play. It was 3 and in in my day.

to be fair, you can't really doubt yourself as a keeper.
Especially when you're singled out to get dog's abuse every week from a few tens of thousands of people, a lot of which isn't necessarily your fault.

Yeah people definitely can manipulate stats however they want to suit their viewpoint, no doubt about it. I think the point doug and momin were making is last season everyone was using stats to prove how crap Howard is l, but now that those same stats cast Howard in a better light all of a sudden they don't matter. It's just the consistency or lack there of
