The fact that the ball is crossed from colemans wing?

As in he should have stopped the cross? I'm not blaming the goal entirely on him. This is the Howard thread, I'm asking could/should he have done better.

considering howard is part of our defence then maybe , but everyone in our team mainly the defence and midfield switched off - so combined you could harshly say yes?
The cross was too far out to come for so are you saying he should have positioned himself better as it was a free header?
I still think he needs replacing he was hesitant in coming off his line to collect the ball today one instance was Stones on the six yard line begging him to come, did he lose us the game today - then I would say no!
The 2nd half team performance did imo! and the get out of jail card with our 94th supposed winner summed that 2nd half dismal performance up in a nutshell for me!

Even under Moyes who was ultra negative trying to hold on to leads especially away from home

But I fear the players don't trust him there was a pic going round after one of his blunders this season of stones turning away in disgust
If looks could kill

And this is the big issue for me the players know he won't command/dominate his area and they know he's never pulling out a worldie to win us a game

To not worry about not seeing today's performances

The armband was a one off when jags went off
Don't think he will be getting it full time

As for Martinez's comments
He's the most positive manager ever came out time and time again last season after some shocking performances to say how good we had played
Didn't he say mcgeady was a phenomenal footballer a few months ago

And in pre-season was telling us mcaleny was going to be a secret weapon

He's always overly positive and has said that its important for a goalie to know he's number 1
It's a shame the faith is not repaid with some top class performances

I suppose next summers transfer window will tell us everything

We've asked over the last week now for these false accusations of racism to stop.

It's not funny anymore, if it ever was that is, and the "joke" has passed. It may disguise any genuine racism that needs to be dealt with.

And like I said if you read the original post

I was referring to the fact we conceade goals when we come under pressure

And I think it's down to a lack of confidence in our goal keeper by the rest of the team

Couldn't really blame Howard for today, I've tried to attach some form of blame to him but they scored a worldie with the first and 2 close range finishes.

And I think I speak for howard bashing Evertonians everywhere, he only gets grief on here for one reason only.
