The fact that the ball is crossed from colemans wing?
As in he should have stopped the cross? I'm not blaming the goal entirely on him. This is the Howard thread, I'm asking could/should he have done better.

considering howard is part of our defence then maybe , but everyone in our team mainly the defence and midfield switched off - so combined you could harshly say yes?As in he should have stopped the cross? What about the cross he was nowhere near just after our 2nd goal and stones had to clear off the line
I want Howard gone but I haven't seen the goals today so I'm not blaming him
I saw the above clip on Twitter
But what I would say is when ever we come under a long spell of pressure like today we always concede
Even under Moyes who was ultra negative trying to hold on to leads especially away from home
But I fear the players don't trust him there was a pic going round after one of his blunders this season of stones turning away in disgust
If looks could kill
And this is the big issue for me the players know he won't command/dominate his area and they know he's never pulling out a worldie to win us a game

Come on now, just because he is American and mixed race is no reason to hate him.
I've seen enough shocking embarrassing performances down the yearsThe swirling wind diverted the flight of the ball a few times today and caught a number of players out, not just Howard.
Also if the squad are so uncomfortable with him why does Martinez give him the armband and he's constantly bigging him up in the media? He's clearly a well liked and respected member of the team, no need to project your biased and tainted opinions about that sort of thing onto the situation.
Like you said you never watched the game so your opinion on his performance isn't valid.
Was this aimed at me?Some of the bigotry in here is awful, seems some people are jealous watching an African American reach the top like this.

To not worry about not seeing today's performances
The armband was a one off when jags went off
Don't think he will be getting it full time
As for Martinez's comments
He's the most positive manager ever came out time and time again last season after some shocking performances to say how good we had played
Didn't he say mcgeady was a phenomenal footballer a few months ago
And in pre-season was telling us mcaleny was going to be a secret weapon
He's always overly positive and has said that its important for a goalie to know he's number 1
It's a shame the faith is not repaid with some top class performances
I suppose next summers transfer window will tell us everything
Was this aimed at me?
As the post from moomin was replying to a post from me
I couldn't give a toss what colour he is where he was born or what race he is
I'm giving my opinion on his footballing ability
And the funny thing is 80% of Evertonians agree with me and want him gone
Also a number of pundits have singled him out for some shocking performances over the last 18months

We've asked over the last week now for these false accusations of racism to stop. Some of the bigotry in here is awful, seems some people are jealous watching an African American reach the top like this.

It's not funny anymore, if it ever was that is, and the "joke" has passed. It may disguise any genuine racism that needs to be dealt with.
Time to knock it on the head.
The post you alluded to, quoted by Moomin, was not bigoted at all. Yet you mentioned that he's African American.I'm serious mate, some of the abuse he takes under the guise of him simply being American is shocking.

Please stop.
Thank you.Okay, sorry.
But I was just quoting a poster who also recognised similar behaviour.
I'll just use the report function in the future.
And like I said if you read the original postCalm down Stephen you'll give your fingers cramp fella.
Like you've already said you didn't see the game so your opinion on his performance means sweat FA to anyone.
